Friday I left work at noon, beat the snow home. This had been my plan all along, but since they cancelled the show last night and told us all to leave by 2pm, it made my life that much easier. Isaac got home around 2:30ish, when I was nearly done with wrapping gifts and complete in addressing all but 1 of my Holiday Cards (still waiting for one more address to come in).

We enjoyed occasional glances outside the window, some deliscious freezer pizza, and some worthless television.

Today we enjoyed sleeping in, a deliscious breakfast, and then we were supposed to head up to Big Brother's in ME. But since the temperature never got above 17*F today, and what slush was on the roads was re-freezing in between cars driving over it, and it hasn't actually STOPPED snowing for more than 30 minutes at a time (still have some flakes floating down), we decided to err on the side of caution and stayed home. We did clear off the car, and found the 1 shared shovel to dig out the area around it. I took a stroll to the grocery store to mail the aforementioned cards, and this afternoon I managed to make a batch of home-made butterscotch candy. Including a big chunk of butterscotch with whole almonds. Got hot water into the pan right away, hoping that will make my life easier when I go to clean it.

Molly was supposed to come out tomorrow so we could decorate the Moravian Spice cookies, but that's looking kind of iffy...if this snow keeps up, we mayhave to delay that as well. So tomorrow might be cleaning. Well, I need to clean anyhow, but I might just be more thorough about it (a Big Detailed Clean as opposed to a usual Quick Weekend Spruce Up).

And now, to dinner...need to get out of my wonderfully comfy fleecy jammie pants and put on jeans. So we can go accross the street and have sushi. Mmmmmmmmiso soup!
